SNAP 2018 is scheduled for December 16 and the registrations for the same is slated to open in September 2018. SNAP aspirants targeting the upcoming test have their preparations in full swing now. But in case you have started late and are feeling lost, thinking how and where to start your preparations, then this article is just for you. Here we chart out a plan on the basis of expert opinions that can help you to prepare for SNAP 2018 in just 3 months.
SNAP 2018: Preparation Strategy
The key to successfully prepare for SNAP within a short period of time is focused and intense time-bound preparation plan which should invariably include ample numbers of mock tests along with their result analysis to find out strengths and weaknesses.
Make sure you brush up your concepts well before you plunge into the mock tests. Unless your concepts are crystal clear, you will neither be able to achieve accuracy nor speed.
Solving Mock Tests
Practice makes you perfect. Practice as many sample papers and mock tests as you can. According to experts, you are not supposed to stop practising once you get the solutions right, but you need to keep practising until you stop making mistakes.
Attempting Mock tests will give you the required practice in a timed environment and their analysis will help in bringing a consistent improvement in a short time span. While analyzing mock tests, do track your strong and weak areas. Try different approaches to a particular type of problem, so that you can find the easiest and least time-consuming method to arrive at the right solution.
Right Attitude
Given that you are having just 3-months’ time to prepare for SNAP, there is no scope of slacking in your approach to preparation. Unless you maintain a regular and disciplined mind set, success will be out of your reach.
A competitive exam is a lot about decision-making: prioritizing which questions to attempt first, identifying your strong areas and deciding to leave out the questions that you are not confident about. It is also about practising to keep your cool and not panic at the sight of unexpected questions.
As you consistently practice in a timed-environment, try and reduce the time taken to answer a question as much as possible so that you build-up on a buffer time to get back to the questions you are not confident about. This way you will be able to set aside some more time to the more difficult questions during the test.
Time Management
While keeping an eye on your watch, do not forget to ensure your accuracy level. Because, ultimately, better accuracy levels will minimize negative marking and chances of scoring high increases.
Induce a fun element in your preparation by competing with fellow aspirants in mock tests. The result will be sharing notes on mistakes and competition on scores acquired, while you actually make a game out of your practice.
Last but not the least, a very important part of your preparation for SNAP should be self-care. Do let the stress of performance eat away your composure and confidence. Apart from disciplined practice, do sleep well and eat right to ensure you are able to give your best on the D-Day.
