Christopher Mintz Plasse was born to a Jewish mother and catholic father who used to work as a school counselor and post worker respectively in the city of Los Angeles in Woodland Hills in 1989. He celebrates his birthday on the 20th of June and he attended El Camino Real High School and got admitted to the improvisation theatre where he used to do comedy without any script, unplanned and unscripted basically in the purest form.
He has been a Boston sports fan since childhood because of his father’s birthplace and upbringing in Worcester and Webster Massachusetts. He was only 17 when he first got the role in Superbad for the first film and although he had no professional training in acting his performance was highly appreciated. He performed a sex scene where his mother had to be there on the set because according to law, he was a minor and his parents should have to be present for guidance and make decisions on his behalf.

When he auditioned for the part of Fogell in his debut movie Superbad he had no single professional head shots instead he had to click by his camera phone on the location. The movie became an instant hit and critically acclaimed and he was nominated for the MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Performance because some critics called his performance the backbone of the movie.
Next year in 2008, he got the role of a nerdy teenager who remains obsessed with medieval live-action role-playing games where he was cast with two established actors in the movie Role Models.

Animated and Superhero Film
He made a small guest appearance in the internet series Wainy Days by David Wain and then in 2009 he got the role of the comical version of the biblical figure, Issac in the movie Year One by Harold Ramis. In 2010, he voiced the character Fishlegs in the animated movie How to Train Your Dragon where his character was a knowledgeable youth who has enthusiasm for dragon lore because he often relates them in role-playing game style.
In April 2010, he secured a role in the superhero movie Kick-Ass where he became a superhero Red Mist/Chris D’Amico who is the son of drug lord Frank D’Amico which was written as a small role by director Mathew Vaughn but he saw the audition of Mintz Plasse, he realized the capabilities and rewrite it as big character. He primarily auditioned for the role of Kick-Ass but the director found his acting too loud and obnoxious so he gave him the role of Red Mist.
Music Career
He has appeared in numerous music videos and given his voice too because he has a knack for talent where his vocals directly fall on the chords thus he first got featured in the music video of Kid Cudi’s “Erase Me” where Kanye West also made a cameo appearance in 2010. In the same year, he also got an opportunity to get featured in a song by indie rock band The Soft Pack’s “Answer to Yourself”. After 3 years of hiatus, he performed in a song by New Zealand’s psychedelic rock band Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s (UMO) “So Good at Being in Trouble” in 2013.
He used to play drums for the rock band The Young Rapscallions but they split up in 2015 for unknown reasons after that, he formed his band Bear on Fire where he plays guitar.
