How to Connect a Soundbar to Vizio TV

However, you can connect your smartphone to your Vision TV. The Bluetooth function on Visual TV works to communicate with the Visual SmartCast app on mobile or tablet. You can use this app as a remote to control your Vision TV from your phone.

So, you can make a wired connection between the soundbar and the View TV. There are two options for wired connection: s/PDIF or analog cable.

How to Connect a Soundbar to Vizio TV using PDIF Cable

  1. Before connecting the soundbar to your Visual TV, make sure both devices are turned off.
  2. Search for “S/PDIF or Optical Port” on your TV. Typically, these ports are on the backside of Vision TV.
  3. Insert one end of the S/PDIF cable into your TV’s audio port.
  4. Now, find the S/PDIF port on the back panel of your soundbar and connect the other end of the line to this port.
  5. Connect the soundbar power cord to the electrical socket so that it can be turned on. Also, turn on your Visual TV.
  6. Select S/PDIF input on your soundbar by pressing the corresponding button on the soundbar or remote.

You need to turn off the internal TV speaker to connect the external soundbar. To perform this operation, follow these instructions.

  1. Click the “Menu” button on your Vivo TV remote. The TV screen will show menu options.
  2. Click the right arrow button to scroll to the “Audio” option.
  3. Next, click the down arrow button and select “Speaker.”
  4. You will see the speaker status as “On.” Change the speaker’s position to “Off” by pressing the right arrow button.
  5. Now, the internal speakers are disabled. The audio will be sent to the soundbar.

How to Connect a Soundbar to Vizio TV using Analog Cable

An Analog cable is used to transmit analog signals from a TV to a speaker or soundbar. You can connect a soundbar to your Visual TV via analog cable. Follow these instructions

  1. Before connecting the soundbar to your Visual TV, make sure both devices are turned off.
  2. Find the “analog” port on the back of your Visual TV.
  3. Insert one end of the RCA / Analog cable into this port on your TV.
  4. Find the “Input 1 or Input 2” ports on the back panel of your soundbar.
  5. Now, insert the other end of the RCA cable into one of the input ports.
  6. Turn on both the soundbar and the TV.
  7. Now, press the “Input” button on your soundbar or its remote.
  8. Select TV as the input device.
