JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is one of the toughest and the most sought after exam for admission in the premium engineering colleges in the country such as the IITs. The exam, conducted by National Testing Agency, will be organised in two months- January and April 2019.
With only a few days left for the January 2019 JEE Main exam, it is very important for the candidate to take note of the guidelines laid by the exam conducting body in addition to take a print out of admit cards released for the exam. It will help the candidates to avoid the mistakes that are made unknowingly. Following is a list of essential guidelines that a candidate must check and keep a note of before going to the examination hall:
1. Candidate must take a print out of admit card and check all the necessary details on it such as the name, father’s name etc. and if some issues are found in it, he/she should contact JEE Main Helpline and bring it to their notice.
2. Candidate must keep one or two passport size photos handy. It is to be made sure that the photos are the same as already affixed on the admit card.
3. Candidate should keep an ID proof in original as well as photocopy for the day of examination.
4. Candidates must reach the venue at least 1 hour before the examination for the smooth conduct of frisking and biometrics etc.
5. Candidate does not need to carry any stationery item such as pen, pencil etc. Pens along with rough sheets will be provided to the candidates at the examination centre.
6. Candidates attempting Aptitude Test- II must bring their own colors, pencils, erasers, geometry boxes etc.
7. The diabetic candidates are allowed to carry medicines and a water bottle with them inside the hall. However, items such as food packets etc. are not allowed inside the exam hall due to security reasons.
8. Candidates will not be allowed to carry any kind of baggage inside the examination hall. If a candidate is in possession of a baggage, he will be solely responsible for it.
9. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, digital watches, Bluetooth devices etc. will not be allowed inside the examination hall. If any candidate is found in possession of such devices, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
10. For the candidates appearing in Aptitude Test- II, use of water colors in drawing sheets will not be allowed.
JEE Mains 2019 is a very important examination and the candidates should duly take care of all the essential guidelines in order to ensure a hassle free examination.
