The world is adopting renewable energy at an increasing rate. India is emerging as a major generator of renewable energy. The government set a goal to reach 175 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2022 in its efforts to promote sustainable development. Solar installations are the only target of 100 GW.

This target has been met 23 GW and 40 GW are in various stages of implementation. India has become the 2nd largest country for solar power generation worldwide thanks to its inclination toward solar energy. The country is now on the path to achieving the 2022 targets.

Although large-scale installations still account for 87%, the rate at which solar rooftop panels are being adopted is increasing. Between 2013 and 2016, the installed solar rooftop capacity grew from 117 MW up to 1250MW. This incredible growth is why the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, through its National Solar Mission Of India, has set a goal of 40 GW rooftop solar power by 2022. Although this may seem lofty, it is achievable. You can get solar roof panels installed in buildings for many reasons.

These offer cost savings

Rooftop solar panels for home offer the greatest benefit of all: cost savings. Rooftop solar tariffs are 17% and 27% cheaper than industrial and commercial tariffs, respectively. In many Indian residential areas, rooftop solar installations have also reached grid parity. Rooftop solar panels for home can also help reduce electricity bills for building owners. Rooftop solar panels for home provide electricity to buildings. They need less electricity from the grid, which in turn saves money on energy.

It’s a safe investment

The electricity prices fluctuate from time to time. It is therefore difficult to estimate the electricity expenditure for a given period. The price of electricity generated from solar roofs can be easily calculated. You can calculate the cost of electricity generation over a period of 10 years. It is therefore a safe investment.

It improves access to energy

Despite India’s declining power shortage, many Indians still have unreliable and insecure access to electricity. These people have to rely on diesel generators as an alternative. These alternative generators can have adverse effects on your health, and are also volatile in terms their operating costs. Solar energy is an economical source of electricity in such situations. Rooftop solar panels for home are environmentally friendly because they harness the sun’s power to produce electricity. They are also cost-effective and stable.

Government support

The government offers tax credits for rooftop solar panel installation, whether they are residential or commercial. This is to encourage people to use solar energy. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy states that 30% of the cost of installation is paid by the government as a subsidy for the installer.

Carbon footprints reduced

Solar panels harness the sun to produce electricity. Rooftop solar panels for home are less polluting than traditional sources of energy. They produce less noise than generators and emit fewer harmful gases. It is also a great source of energy to combat climate change.

Renewable energy source

People are increasingly choosing eco-friendly products. Consumers, particularly those in the commercial and industrial sectors, are more willing to invest capital to help preserve the environment. Customers who are environmentally friendly will pay more than those who use grid power.

Low maintenance costs

Rooftop solar panels for home are very easy to maintain. If maintained correctly, they can last for more than 20 years.

Ideal for Indian climate

Rooftop solar panels for home convert sunlight into electricity. India is a beautiful country that receives plenty of tropical sunlight. India has almost 300 sunny days each year with clear skies. Rooftop solar panels are a great option.

Multiple ways of Using

Solar power is not only used to generate electricity but also serves many other purposes. It can heat water, supply hot water, or air to buildings. It can also be used for running electric generators.

No extra space required for installation

Rooftop solar panels for home have the advantage of being able to be placed on any roof. Rooftop solar panels for home can be installed on any type of roof. The panels also provide protection for the roof of any building where they are installed.

Cost of Rooftop solar panels for home

There are always issues with solar panels, such as its performance, shadow problems or breakdown. We will be sharing important information about the installation of solar panels in this blog. Expert installers warn that solar panels can be damaged if they are not properly installed. This could lead to many problems within days, months or even years.

Planning to install Rooftop solar panels for home or business?

Let’s learn how to install the highest quality solar panels that will last a lifetime and give you long-term benefits. We will first discuss the main components and types of a Solar System.

What is a Solar Energy System and how does it work?

The four main components of the Solar Energy System are what determine how a solar energy system works.

  • Solar Panel
  • Solar Inverter
  • Solar Battery
  • Panel Stand

Solar Panel Installation Accessories

Solar Energy Systems come in a variety of forms and can be used according to your location and needs. These are the 2 types of Solar Energy System:

  • Solar Panel with Battery (Off Grid Solar System).
  • Solar Panel with no Battery (On Grid Solar System).

Notice: The main component of both systems is the Solar Inverter. We generally purchase the following products when we install a solar power system:

#1. Solar Panel

The primary component of any solar energy system is the solar panel. It converts sunlight into electricity.

#2. Solar Inverter

The central component of a solar power system is the solar inverter. It converts DC to AC.

#3. Solar Battery

The solar battery is the energy storage component that stores electricity, and then runs loads when the grid goes off.

#4. Solar Charge Controller

The Solar Charge Controller converts the normal inverter to the solar inverter.

#5. Panel Stand

Solar Panel Stand is a balancing device that holds solar panels to the roof. It protects them from wind and animal attacks. It gives the panels a perfect angle.

Installation Accessories:

Solar panel installation involves many components, both small and large.

#6. ACDB Box

ACDB protects the AC current side of any solar inverters. It can be used in conjunction with a grid-tie, solar inverter.

#7. DCDB Box

DCDB protects solar panel sides from DC currents. It can be used with both an off-grid and grid-tie inverter.

#8. Lighting Arrester

The Lighting Arrester (LA), protects electrical appliances and solar panels from thundering. It can be used with both an off-grid and grid-tie inverter.

#9. DC Wire

It should be in PVC Pipe (less than 3kW) or Cable Tray (3kW and higher).

#10. AC Wire

AC Wire can be used to connect inverters with grid power or home loads.

#11. Connector mc4

The most critical component of a solar energy system is the MC4 Connector. It connects DC wire to solar panels.

#12. Wire Thimbles

Wire thimbles (DC & AC Wires) are made from metal materials. They tighten the wire properly.

#13. Kit for earthing

It can be done up to 6ft. It can be done for 6ft.

1kW to 3kW: This is done using 2 earthing. The one for Inverter is the other for Lighting Arrester (LA)
