MONTAUK, NY — One of Long Island’s most popular St. Patrick’s Day parades is canceled due to the coronavirus for the second year in a row.
The Montauk Friends of Erin posted the news on Facebook this week: “We regretfully announce that all of our 2021 events are canceled due to New York State and local restrictions.”
Canceled events include the annual grand marshal luncheon, the gala cocktail party, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade itself.
According to the Montauk Friends of Erin, “Pot of Gold” tickets are on sale but going fast; the tickets can be purchased here, with the drawing taking place in March, with a date to be determined. The draw will be streamed live on Facebook.
The parade, organizers have said, is New York’s second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
