6 Most Valuable Left-Backs In World Football Right Now

2020 has seen some of the exceptional left-backs talent coming to the surface. So, today, we are discussing the top six left-backs whose games you should not miss.

Ben Chilwell from Chelsea – €50 million

At 23, he’s the star left-back player in the world right now. He ranks at the 5th position across the globe. Chelsea made a smart move to secure his signature this season despite the overwhelming rivalry and competition from the other clubs to score the player.

This year, many of us have seen his matches online through streaming channels like crackstreams.news. This season, Ben is on an attacking spree, leaving Chelsea feeling proud of their decision. They won’t feel the loss of a cut-price deal after losing Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham Hotspur.

Chilwell didn’t disappoint Chelsea after all this season with two goals and assists in the Premier League.

Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich – €80 million

In 2019, Bayern Munich bought Lucas from Atletico Madrid for €80 million. He’s one of the costliest left-back players this season. So, can we say that he played out worthy of his price tag this year? We can’t be that sure because of his ligament injury.

Lucas seemed to struggle to break into the team at the start of the season with that injury. But he did manage to play out well, being a centre-back instead. However, this season David Alaba, Jerome, and Sule have vied for a recognizable spot in the back.

So, during the entire gameplay thrown out in the open by Lucas, his price currently drooped down to €50 from €80 million as a left-back. After that, the team still has strong hopes from the star player once he springs back to his original position after the recovery.

Renan Lodi from Atletico Madrid – €50 million

Lodi has a six-year deal with Atletico Madrid. At Rojiblancos, he witnessed some of his performances and appearances, which he didn’t get a chance for when he was under 21. At this cub, he was the first choice for the left-back.

Rojiblancos’ belief of the same proves right when we saw Lodi playing 28 epic games in La Liga in the 2019-20 campaign. The X factor of Renan Lodi’s performances is hidden in his maturity. He is just 22, and he knows how to carry the pressure of his team and coach’s expectations forward with ease.

That’s perhaps because before getting called-up in this team at 21, he never had a chance to represent Brazil. So, he aced his left-back performances with tackling skills, never letting his dancing foot shy away from his equally talented opponents.

Ferland Mendy from Real Madrid – €48 million

Real Madrid grabbed the deal to let Ferland onboard with €48 million. Suffice to say, Ferland had a lot to live up to. He was brought from Lyon to Real Madrid. And his journey to date as a left-back has been quite intimidating and positive.

His stats for Champions League this season looked as close to 5.38 duels per 90 minutes.

Andrew Robertson from Liverpool – €75 million

Jurgen Klopp has a knack for finding hidden talents when he roped in Andrew at a mere initial fee of €8 million from Hull City. It was back in the summer of 2018. At Liverpool, Andrew grew exceptionally as a left-back under his guidance.

Whenever you watch any of Andrew Robertson’s matches online at any streaming channel, witness his grit and war power like a general. He learnt such aggressive tactics from the lessons by Jurgen Klopp. That can be both on and off the field.

That’s not all even. Together with the other back player, Arnold, he forms the best fullback duo for the team. From this duo, Liverpool has changed their image from entertainers to a force to be reckoned with.

Truthfully, if we surmise every game by Andrew for Liverpool in the last two seasons, it’s obvious that he’s here to stay. That’s possible because of his pace and unbeatable crossing ability.

Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich – €80 million

The young left-back at Bayern Munich changed their gameplay in the 2019-20 season. He led his team towards the continental treble wins this year. He consistently performed better at being a left-back, replacing David Alaba, who played at the centre-back instead.

Bayern Munich roped in Alphonso Davies from Vancouver for an initial amount of £13 million. This amount rose to £22 million. At present, if we consider the Euro, he is easily worth €80 million
