Technology has been one of the fastest growing industries over the past decade due to the unbelievable amount of investment that it has received due to the high demand for technology in each field. One field that has particularly grasped the technology world and that is the fitness industry which is now booming due to the added technology it has shown in recent times, and below we show how that has developed over time.

One of the main reasons as to why technology and fitness have gone hand in hand is due to the wearable tech that fitness gurus are wearing whilst doing their workouts now. You cannot go to a gym or see people on a run without them seeing them with their smartwatches or fitness trackers on. Apple Watch and FitBit’s were the pioneers in the field and now many other technology companies like Samsung and Polar have jumped on the hype with the competitiveness in the market now ensuring that consumers have a choice of wearable tech to choose from.

Other industries have also been able to benefit from the rapid rise in technology and take advantage of these newfound resources and that is the online casino world, and some sites can be found when looking here. On these non gamstop casinos, they’ve been reporting in 2020 that they are seeing many fitness fanatics using their sites as a way of relaxing when they have finishing training as it has become the perfect way to try and produce a profit from the comfort of their own homes.

Furthermore, and a trend that seemed to pick up during 2020 due to the global pandemic caused by Covid-19 is that of online fitness classes. Due to many being forced to stay at home to combat the spread of the virus, we had to look online to ensure that we could still stay fit during our periods of isolation. These could use through apps like Zoom, Facebook Live and YouTube and numbers went through the roof during the height of the pandemic and this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

And finally, gyms themselves have embraces the use of apps themselves to ensure that they are keeping with the times and now use them as their sole interaction with gym goers. Many gyms now are offering an application to be able to book their gym sessions, join up through the gym, or even to scan themselves into the gym on arrival. This has allowed for gyms to have less employees working and more just using the app to get interaction with their customers.
