List of Ice Age Cast

Let us now explore the celebrities behind the Ice Age Cast and brief details about the characters they voice.

  • Ray Romano as Manny

The voice-over of Manny is done by Ray Romano. As the protagonist and lead character, Manny appears in all five films. Romano got the role of Many because his voice sounded elephant-like and, therefore, was a perfect match.

Apart from the Ice Age, Romano has led a successful career as a comedian in the film industry.

  • John Leguizamo as Sid, a ground sloth

Sid is a fragile character with a higher-pitched voice than expected, and Leguizamo had to work hard to avoid sounding like a sloth who had been partying all night.

Scrat is a squirrel mainly known for his infatuation with collecting acorns. His small size doesn’t stop him from having a crucial impact on the story. Scrat’s antics often trigger bigger events, making him a fundamental part of the franchise. Chris Wedge, along with directing the film voiced the character Scrat.

  • Queen Latifah as Ellie, another woolly mammoth

Queen Latifah is the main voice behind Ellie. Her performance adds a melodious voice and warm personality to the character.

As a young mammoth, she got separated from her herd during the ice age and was raised by two opossums, Crash and Eddie, and their mother. Believing she was a possum, Ellie grew up with them until she met Manny, Diego, and Sid. Throughout the franchise, Ellie is a loving wife to Manny and a caring mother.

  • Kristen Johnston as Sylvia, another ground sloth

Sylvia, voiced by Kristen Johnston, is a female sloth who dreams of marriage and family. She sets her sights on Sid, another sloth, and tries to win his affection. But Sid finds her annoying and keeps avoiding her.
