This is the Oppo A93, the company’s latest mid-range device that makes a statement while remaining affordable. Oppo has merged both the A-series and the F-series under its new streamlined portfolio, in case you didn’t know. That is why the F series is no longer available. The A93, as the successor of the A92, has many improvements and upgrades.

Despite being a mid-range smartphone, the Oppo A93 has higher-end specifications than most competitors. In addition, the phone boasts a first-of-its-kind Air gesture control that has yet to be seen on any other smartphone. It also includes a new quad-camera array on the back of the smartphone and a sleek matte finish.

Ultra-Thin and Ultra-Light Design

The Oppo A93, like other Oppo handsets, has a one-of-a-kind design that is uncommon in the smartphone market. However, aside from the quad rear-camera configuration, the device’s colour and, of course, its sleekness receive more attention.

The Oppo A93 is one of the slimmest smartphones on the market, with a depth of 7.48mm and a weight of 164g. There are only three physical buttons on the phone: two volume keys and a power button on the left and right sides, respectively. The SIM card slot is similarly located on the right side of the device, close to the volume keys. At the bottom of the phone, you’ll find the speaker jack, Type-C power port, mouthpiece, and headphone jack.

Finally, the phone has a high-end aesthetic, making it a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.

16.34cm Dual Punch-Holes Super AMOLED Display

The 16.34cm dual punch-hole super AMOLED display of the Oppo A93 is fascinating. However, it may surprise you to learn that while this feature is popular among high-end smartphones, it is not available on many mid-range devices.

Unlike what you may be used to, the dual-front cameras are pretty small, measuring just 3.7mm; as a result, there is less distraction whether streaming movies, playing games, or surfing the web.

Not only that, but the gadget has a 60Hz screen refresh rate (SRR), which is quite competitive in the mid-range market.

The Oppo A93 has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels @ 408 pixels per inch (PPI). There is also enough screen brightness, as the A93 delivers up to 800 nits, so you won’t have to strain your eyes when using the Oppo A93 outside.

Oppo included an in-display fingerprint unlock 3.0 function in security, which limited the external features. Similarly, the front camera’s small dual-hole punch also serves as a face-ID scanner for a high-tech lock mechanism.

Users can still use the traditional pattern lock and passcode if they like.

Sleek Matte Finish

When it came to selecting a suitable colour for the Oppo A93, Oppo went in an innovative approach.

Oppo aimed to convey the rich taste present in high-end automobiles by using a slick matte blue colour. Because the Oppo A93 has a more elegant appearance, the colour choice on this device deviates slightly from the traditional gradient colouring.

The A93 also comes in a Matte Black colour.

Camera

Oppo is always consistent with its camera systems, and the A93 smartphone is no exception. As previously stated, the A93 has six cameras, two on the front and four on the back.

The back camera has four lenses: 48MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide-angle lens); 8MP, f/2.2, 119mm (ultra wide angle lens); 2MP, f/2.4 (depth lens); 2MP, f/2.4 (depth lens); and an LED flash. The A93’s miniature dual hole-punch camera has 16MP, f/2.4 (wide lens) and 2MP, f/2.4 (depth lens) sensors on the front.

The Oppo A93 is equipped with a whopping 108MP clear image capability. On most mid-range smartphones, you’d be hard-pressed to find this. In addition, the Pro XHD feature on the A93 smartphone allows users to manually modify ISO, Shutter speed, Temperature, and other particular adjustment options.

Surprisingly, the Oppo A93’s camera system has a lot of high-end hardware and can zoom up to 40 times.

AI portrait colour is one of the new features of the A93 camera system. This feature adds a splash of colour to your photographs while fading out the background with a stylish frame. Another AI super night portrait feature allows you to take crisper selfies in low-light situations or at night. AI Night flare portrait transforms low-light portraits into stunning nighttime images. This function makes use of the HDR technology to brighten images taken in low-light conditions. Dual lens Bokeh for selfies, AI Super Clear Portrait, and AI Beautification 2.0 are among the other special effects.

Air Gestures

In the A93, Oppo debuted Air Gestures. The Air Gesture is enabled via the device’s Artificial Intelligence function, as I previously indicated. This is the first time Oppo has included the function on a mid-range device, further distinguishing it from the competition.

You can use this function to answer calls by simply waving your hands upward. Users can also take images by waving their hands across the screen. While the screen is extremely sensitive, the wave gesture can only be detected from a distance of 20 to 50 centimetres.

Super Power Saving

An innovative power saver can also get you up to 70 minutes of active time with just a 5% charge. Once engaged, you’ll only be able to use 6 pre-selected apps, such as call logs, messages, maps, and other important apps.

The intelligent function provides 70 minutes of calling at 5% charge, 49 minutes of SMS at 5% charge, 35 minutes of Uber/Grab at 5% charge, and 30 minutes of Google Maps at 5% charge.

Processor & Storage

Thanks to its MediaTek Helio P95 AI processing unit, the Oppo A93 has a top-tier processor performance.

The CPU has eight cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz. The CPU also has two ARM cortex, one with A75 prime cores and the other with A55 cores, both running at 2.2GHz and 2.0GHz, respectively.

The Oppo A93 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, which can be increased to 512GB via an external SD card.

The Anti-Lag Algorithm, as Oppo called it, was introduced. This algorithm recognises and removes unneeded data that could cause memory issues or cause the device to freeze during use.

The Oppo A93 comes with ColorOS 7.2, which features a minimalist design and user-friendly interface for a seamless overall experience.

Battery Life

The Oppo A93 is powered by a 4000mAh battery that can last for around half a day in active use.

However, it has a music playback time of roughly two days. Consumers can expect roughly 10-hours of video playback, which is adequate for a mid-range smartphone.

Regardless, users can make use of the Super Power Saving Mode to get even more battery life. As previously stated, even at low battery percentages, this clever power-saving mode saves more power.

The mid-range Oppo A93’s price in Tunisia is 899 DT comes in matte black and blue. The Oppo A93 is well worth the money, and it comes with many intelligent features.
