American company Facebook has joined hands with National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and non-governmental organization ‘Seeds in India’. Facebook will offer this tool to these agency in case of any natural calamity   Under this, Facebook will offer ‘Disaster Map Data’ which will provide information about the movement and presence of Facebook users in the affected area. Facebook’s Chief Program Ritesh Mehta said that the aim of these initiatives is to help in effective relief and rescue work in the state of any natural disaster. This will ensure accurate information before and after such crisis. The company introduced the Disaster Map facility at the global level in June. facebook has implemented these remedies in Peru and America. Shabaya Nayak, Manager, Public Policy Research, Facebook, said that there was a lot of information from India for the development of these solutions.
