CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics show, kicked off in Las Vegas on January 5, 2022. TV Displays: Brighter, Smarter

Sony Announced the World’s First QD-OLED 4K TV

Mini-LED is the most significant change. This technology will give the screen higher contrast and brightness, and show more dark details than the OLED screen.

What attracts the most attention is the world’s first QD-OLED 4K TV. QD (Quantum Dot)-OLED, uses quantum dot technology, which can achieve higher light efficiency, with twice the brightness of the screen and more vivid colour reproduction.

Although the screen panel was supplied by Samsung, Sony made its debut, but the product will not be available until later, and the price is not expected to be announced until spring.

LG Launches the Micro LED TV

Besides the EX-OLED technology, LG unveiled a new generation of OLED TV products on CES 2022, including a 42-inch model for the C-series TV and a 97-inch model for the LG series.

Belkin Wemo

Belkin expanded its smart home product line for the first time through its brand Wemo.

They launched a new Wemo HomeKit smart video doorbell, as well as products such as Wemo smart plugs, smart light switches and smart dimmers.

 

Among them, the Wemo intelligent visual doorbell is installed outdoors, you can see the situation outside the door at home, it is equipped with a 4-megapixel camera with a field of view of 178 °, and can enhance night vision.

These products support HomeKit, to be managed and viewed on Apple products, but most importantly, they are based on the Matter standard and will be launched in 25 countries later this year.

Sengled

Sengled has introduced a smart light bulb that, in addition to lighting up your room, can also perform health monitoring, track users’ sleep information, measure heart rate, body temperature and other indicators, and transmit data to your phone via Bluetooth or WiFi. The bulb can also detect whether someone in the home has fallen, officials say.

 

In essence, Sengled has added sensor hardware and lidar components to the bulb.

Similarly, the product is based on Matter standards, but the price has not yet been announced and is tentatively scheduled to be launched this winter.

Self-Driving and Electric Automotives are Still Trending, with Sony Entering the Battlefield

Self-driving is entering the second half of mass production and commercialization. At this year’s CES, companies in the upper and lower reaches of the automobile industry chain have displayed the latest self-driving technology.

NVIDIA has announced that it has reached a partnership with a number of Chinese electric carmakers that will use NVIDIA’s self-driving technology to compete with Tesla.

Intel’s self-driving subsidiary Mobileye has also come up with its flagship self-driving chip EyeQ Ultra. Mobileye said that EyeQ Ultra has a performance of 176 trillion operations per second and will be able to compete with Tesla, Nvidia and Qualcomm in the field of high-order computing vehicle chips.

Intel also announced that it will jointly develop the (EV), an all-electric vehicle that supports Level 4, with Geely and will be available in China by 2024.

 

 

 

During the CES 2022, Sony announced the establishment of Sony Mobile, whose main task is to commercialize its electric vehicle business. This means that Sony will also join the ranks of technology companies to build cars.

 

At the scene, Sony showed off a prototype of its Vision S concept electric vehicle, as well as a new Sony Vision-SUV prototype. The company’s CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said that the priority of the SUV is safety, with a total of 40 detection sensors installed inside and outside the vehicle to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.
