Mohammed Shami’s Pakistani friend Alishba Admits Meeting mohammed Shami but denies money transaction
The controversy surrounding Mohammad Shami on Monday took another turn as Pakistani woman Alishba admitted meeting him in Dubai but refuted any monetary dealings with the India pacer as claimed by his wife.
Alishba also claimed that she has been in touch with Shami ever since India’s defeat to Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy final.One of the many allegations Hasin Jahan has made against her husband Shami was the involvement of the India cricketer in match-fixing. Hasin alleged that Shami met a woman in Dubai who was supposed to give him money sent by another person from Britain.
Alishba is a Pakistani citizen and Shami claimed that she gave him money. I have never been told by Shami for what purpose that money was given. I don’t know but if he can fraud me he can fraud the country too,” Hasin had said in an interaction with ABP News.Alishba though denied knowing any Mohammad Bhai, the alleged person from Britain, and said that there were no transaction of money between her and Shami.
“Yes, I met him,” Alishba told ABP News. “I am a frequent flyer to Dubai because my sister stays in Sharjah. As a person, I really like Shami. As any fan that has idolised a celebrity, they always dream of meeting their idol. I had the desire to meet him (Shami) like any other fan would want to, which I don’t think is a big deal,” she added.
I respect him a lot as a person and we just became good friends…I came to know that he (Shami) was flying back home from South Africa via Dubai co-incidentally I was also travelling there going to my sisters’ place,” Alishba continued.
“I am one of his followers, which is how I became Shami’s friend. Just like he has lakhs of followers, I am one among those normal fans. I have sent him messages…” Alishba said. I visited the hotel next morning at around 9 a.m. and had a breakfast with him [Shami],” she said.
“I personally don’t know Mohammed Bhai and have nothing to do with him and there was no involvement of money transaction between us. The person who does not even lie to anyone, how he can be disloyal to his country,” Alishba said about Shami
While Shami too denied of having any affair with Alishba, Jahan continued her attack on Shami and also targetted Alishba.
Alishba is not Shami’s fan. She can be his girlfriend, she can be a prostitute. If a girl secretly meets a man, hiding it from her family, does dirty things, shares a room. She had come to destroy my married life, malign my husband. But my husband is no less either,” Alishba told media personnel on Monday.
“I had told you many times that Alishba has a relation with Shami. They had met in Dubai to do dirty things. They had planned this since January. Was it only restricted to breakfast? It ended up in bed,” she added.
Jahan then urged the Lalbazar police to arrest Shami and his family members.
She then said that, “All of you should have accompanied me to beat Shami. He should be beaten up on the road. How many girls’ life is he going to destroy?”
Earlier on Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed to Kolkata Police that Shami stayed in a hotel in Dubai on February 17 and 18 on Indian cricket team’s journey back to India from South Africa.
BCCI’s response came after a letter was sent to the Board by the Kolkata Police seeking Shami’s schedule last month. The police sought the details to check if he had gone to Dubai as claimed by his wife Hasin Jahan
