CAT 2018 Registration – Step by Step Guide to Apply Online

2nd week of August 2018                    : Commencement of registration for IIM CAT 2018

Third week of September 2018           : Deadline for registration and fee payment

25 Nov. 2918                                           : Date of exam

Application Fees

• For SC, ST and PwD category students – INR 950.
• For rest of the candidates                       – INR 1900.

 CAT 2018 Eligibility-

Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in specific streams are eligible for CAT 2018. Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible for the exam.

Step 1- Registration

The first thing is to create a profile. For this, click on the on the Register now button and enter the name of the applicant, the date of birth, email id and mobile number.

To complete the cat 2018 registration process, the candidate will have to type the captcha code which will appear at the end.

Name- The name in the application form and the name in the class X marksheet must be the same. If the name is changed due to reasons such as marriage, documents to prove new name must be submitted.

Date of Birth– The date of birth should match the date of birth in class X mark sheet. A drop-down calendar appears on the page in which you must select the date, the month and the year of birth.

 Email Address- You should give an email address which is always accessible to you as all updates of the exam are sent to this email address.

Mobile Number- You should give mobile number which you always use, because an OTP is sent to verify the number. You will get notifications of any changes on that number.

Step 2- Login to Website 

Use your registration ID and password to log in. These details will be sent to your email id and mobile number.

Step 3- Fill Application Form 

Here you will have to fill the details in five categories-

1. Personal Details- 

• Name of father or guardian
• Name of mother
• Gender
• Category
• Nationality
• Details if person with disability

Documents to be uploaded-

• Passport size photograph
• Signature
• Caste certificate
• PWD certificate

2. Academics-

Enter details of-

• Class X, Class XII aggregate marks
• Diploma course
• bachelor’s degree- Pursuing or completed
• master’s degree
• Other professional courses

3. Work Experience- 

Here candidates must enter details of work experience till July 31, 2018.  Enter the details as internship, project, part-time or pre-graduation.

4. Program Section-

In this section, a window appears where a list of programs are given. The candidate can select any number of programs from this list.

Then the candidate has to select the name of the interview city from the list of cities-

• IIM Kashipur
• IIM Raipur
• IIM Ranchi
• IIM Rohtak
• IIM Tiruchirappalli
• IIM Udaipur

5. Enter City Preference- 

The candidate must select 4 cities as per preferences. After the last date of registration, the candidate is allotted the cities accordingly. Click on the submit button once you have completed the form.

Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email on successful submission of the form to your email. Look for the confirmation email and further updates on your admission procedures will be communicated through emails.
