What Are The Types Of Garage DoorsWhat Are The Types Of Garage Doors

Garage doors are an important part of any home. They provide protection from the elements, and they also help to increase the value of your property. With so many available choices in terms of door types, however, it can be hard to know which one is best for you. In this, we will discuss different types of garage doors that you can choose from good manufacturers like Steel-Line when building or renovating your house.

Types Of Garage Doors:

1)One Panel Door

This type has a single panel with four vertical sections- two top panels and two bottom ones. It’s commonly used by smaller garages that don’t need additional storage space or because it doesn’t require much more than garage flooring due to its limited height options (up to eight feet).

If you need someone to install or repair your doors – don’t hesitate to look in some garage door services company. They are available in each city and usually working for 24-7, as sometimes it could be an emergency case.

2)Two Panel Door

This type has two panels with four vertical sections- one top panel and three bottom ones. It offers more space for storage than a single panel door but still doesn’t require much flooring due to its limited height options (up to eight feet).

3)Single Panel Door

This door has only one panel with three vertical sections- one top and two bottom ones. It’s perfect if you don’t have a lot of room in your garage or need to conserve space when storing items (such as lawnmowers).

4)Rolling Steel Door

These doors open up by rolling towards an opening that can span from the left side to the right side, with some models able to open in both directions. They’re typically mounted on tracks, which are very sturdy and durable. The downside is that they can’t be fitted with a horizontal panel for storage space, so you’ll have to make-do by having the door as an obstacle or building shelves set into it; also, this type doesn’t provide any security against intruders.

5)Sectional Steel Door

These doors are a combination of the rolling and swinging type, opening up in sections like small panels; they have all the conveniences that come with this design: high visibility for viewing through to those on the other side; low-to-medium security because there’s no door lock mechanism or anything else to secure them, and they’re an easy size to maneuver through.

6)Rolling Steel Door

These doors are uni-directional, rolling open like a curtain on tracks. They can be closed from the inside by pulling down or twisting anti-slam levers; this is the most common type of door for garages because it has good security and is easy to open, though it’s not quite as convenient for viewing.

7)Swing-Out Steel Door

These doors are uni-directional, swinging on hinges at the top of a track; they’re very similar in design to sectional rolling steel doors but are more difficult to close from the inside because there isn’t such a big handle.

8)Sectional Steel Door

These doors are bi-directional, rolling open like a curtain on tracks that can be opened from either side; they’re good for accessing the garage even if you don’t have room to pull it down and back up again, but because of their two-section design and track system they’re always a couple of inches out.

9)Sliding Steel Door

These doors are bi-directional, sliding open and shut on a track; they’re best for accessing the garage even if you don’t have room to pull it down and back up again but can be tough to close from the inside.

10)Sliding Aluminum Garage Door

These doors are bi-directional and slide open on a track that’s flush with the ground; they’re best for accessing the garage even if you don’t have room to pull it down, but can be tough to close from inside.
